Plugging along

Still in Kentucky, but heading down this evening to MerleFest in North Carolina.
A few notes of interest:
- If you are participating in the Sound Swap, you should have received an e-mail from me with your “swapee.” If you haven’t, drop me an e-mail and I’ll take care of this ASAP.

- There has been knitting here. Mom’s fingerless gloves are practically finished. Here’s a photo from when I was in Crozet with my mom. I’m really pleased with how they’re turning out. I still need to pick up stitches for the thumb, but hopefully I’ll get that done this weekend and I’ll have an FO to show you, modeled — as they are here — by my mom.

- And, in case any of you were feeling nostalgia for my music-in-the-making photos, here’s one from Hillbilly Days, where, I forgot to mention, I won third place in the dance contest (the prize was a truly fantastic “statue” of a hillbilly granny. I’ll post a picture when I get home).
Have a good weekend everyone!
Your mom’s mitts look terrific!
I love the music-in the-making photo but wish there were one of you dancing… or is there? What kind of dancing? How is it judged? Congrats on winning 3rd place, however you did it.
Congrats on your win - that statue sounds funky fun.
The mitt looks great.
that yarn matches the tree so well–pretty shot. congrats on the prize, jennie!
Yay for you! That yarn IS beautiful. And everytime you mention Crozet, I get hungry for pizza. So could you stop? LOL! Just kidding!
You’re on your way to MerleFest? You lucky dog! Dance a little award-winning dance for me (and all the rest of us who’d love to be there too :).
I love the mitts!
OH & congrats on the win! I can’t wait to see the statue!
The mittens are lovely! I wish I could see the statue!
The colors of that mitt are gorgeous! What yarn is it?
