So I lied…

I couldn’t help myself. I was having a bad day. I needed something new, something to spark my interest. And spark my interest it did, since I stayed up until 2 a.m. to finish it. It’s been a while since my knitting has inspired this kind of dedication.

I’m gonna hold off on commenting on my feelings about this mitten until I finish the second and give them a good blocking. That said, the process of making them has been great. The construction is interesting, and it was kinda fun to watch the whole thing pull together. And (with no intention on my part — I just chose from the yarn I had), they match my favorite scarf perfectly!

It looks really cool!
I like them. It’s different. But I like them. And who doesn’t need some spirally fun when the weather has you wearing mittens?
i love these two colors together. and especially love how you did the thumb gusset. never seen that before. then, too, the yarn looks super luscious. i could eat it. i think. okay, maybe just rub it against my arm.
Great color combo!! I really like the way you put it all together!
Oh & orangina lives again!?!? I hope it fits OK. I love mine & wear it all the time (as a matter of fact I wore it to my job interview last week)!
I was just flipping through the issue of IK with these in there; they’re fun! I really need a quick knit these days, too.
I admire your dedication to the stripes — I find them a little frustrating sometimes. Also, I absolutely love the base color (the red/burgundy). What is it?
